It has only been a year since we took the stage at The Kate Wolf Music Festival but since that day so much has happened that it feels like a lifetime ago. Looking back I feel like that one 30 minute set on that grey evening was the spark that lit the fuse to an explosion that still propels us to this day. It was the highlight of my 2012 and we are so excited to be welcomed back to play TWO SETS!!! Look for us on Friday evening on the Utahpia stage and then on Sunday afternoon on the Arlo stage. We will be selling our new CD at the merch booth. We can't wait to party with all of you. If you see us walking around, come over and say hello.
Our new album, The Sam Chase Will Never Die, is FINALLY for sale online. You all have been more patient than I have and it is such a relief to have it up for all of you to hear. We are really proud of our new album. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Of course, hard copies of our CD will be sold at all of our shows. We will very soon be setting up a merch site for the new CD so that you can buy copies of it online as well. If you would like a listen right this second (and hopefully purchase), then CLICK HERE
The stage is a brutal and unforgiving mistress. The nights spent on top of her are no feat for the weak stomached, soft skulled, nor unseasoned in the art of pomp and aural cunalingus. It is a public gutting for the pleasure of a paying crowd. They wrap around you like vultures, picking at your insides and lapping up every sinewy strand, cooing with satiated pleasure over the roar of your heart, throbbing and pumping whats left of your DNA from the stumps that once were the roots for strong and able limbs. Once the heart stops, they cry for more. No more war drum rhythm, no more calls to action, no more tears for the hell of tears, no more carnage.... "Where the hell did, I put my jacket?" They wonder as they step over you, the postmortal bouillabaisse that once seemed so full of promise, grit, a life force so powerful the walls shook when you took the stage minutes before, when your voice let out its first guttural bellow, whetting the lips of the unsuspecting predators.
Yes, but the stage is also your lady. She is the foundation of your legacy. She is the high road, directing you towards greener pastures, and guiding you towards a life that you can look back on from your deathbed knowing that every second lived was one worth reliving. She is the deep breathe that you take after a hard day, the one that you take the moment after you cross the threshold, knowing that you've finally made it home. She is your rock, your apple box, your pulpit, and your church. Every vulture is hungry for your gospel. They are caught in your snare. They expect no mercy and no mercy is what they will get. The stage is the future. The stage is your onward and upward...
.... and we love every fucking inch of it...

Last night was a lot of fun. From the giant bottle of burbon that was opened and emptied by us over the course of the show, to the rockin crowd, to the great sound guys, and backstage people at the Independent, to the great bands that we played with, to the brand new CD we unleashed unto the world, it was a night to remember.
Thank you all for everything. I tried to make eye contact with every person there, and show my gratitude. It was a little difficult and I probably missed a few faces here and there but I want to let you all know how much I appreciated everyone who attended last night.
